Wangaratta Stables
Weeding Racing is based on-course at Wangaratta, with 30 boxes at our disposal.
Nestled by Three Mile Creek, our stables are in a quiet and peaceful spot, void of day-to-day traffic and the commotion caused on race days.
The boxes are open, airy, and suited to horses that don’t necessarily cope with stable life.
An excellent training facility, we have access to the course proper, training grass, all-weather fibre sand track, sand track, warm-up/trotting track, bull ring, and swimming pool.
Renowned as one of Victoria’s premier racecourses and country-based training facilities, we’re within driving distance of many racecourses in Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia.
25-acre training farm (Wangaratta)
In conjunction with 30 on-course boxes, Weeding Racing utilises a 25-acre training farm on the edge of Wangaratta.
Based in an ideal location close to the Wangaratta racecourse, our farm is a registered training centre where we break in, educate, and pre-train our horses.
The facility was designed with horse safety in mind with horse-safe fencing.
We have designated paddocks for pre-training and recovery, often giving our horses that are in work a day or two on the farm following a race or trial. Some horses also race directly from the farm when it suits.
Our farm includes 12 boxes, walk-in and walk-out day yards, day paddocks, a swimming pool, and an 800m training track.
